How to Measure Your Wrist

In order to select the correct band length for your wrist, you'll need to know your wrist size.

Measure your wrist with a soft tape measure around the part of your wrist that you like to wear your watch.

If you don't have a soft tape measure handy, you can measure it by wrapping a piece of string or ribbon around the part of your wrist that you like to wear your watch. Mark the length and measure it with a ruler in inches. This is your wrist size.

If your wrist size falls in between 2 lengths (ie. a 6.25" or 7.0" wrist), you have to know your preference - would you enjoy a shorter band with less tail, or a longer band with more tail?

Depending on your style, remember to consider if you like to wear your watch looser in the Summer than in the Winter.

Upgrade Your Look with a Butterfly Buckle

A Butterfly Buckle is a clasp on your band that makes your watch easier to take on and off. A butterfly buckle replaces a normal buckle on your watch band so it's always perfectly sized and easier to clasp. Set it once and it's done. It can also help your band last longer. The downside is that it’s a bit bulkier on the inside of your wrist.

Must be purchased separately - Available for our 35mm, 36mm and 38mm watches.

The Quartz Enamel Well Kit

The Quartz Enamel Well Kit contains three enamel wells and an optional inspection/sanding jig. The wells will hold your artwork and the inspection jig will help you ensure your artwork is technically correct. Although three wells are supplied in your kit, you are not obligated to have any made into watches. You can use them to experiment and/or create finished pieces.  The intention behind the fine silver enamel wells is to help you create a cloisonné watch dial, although you are not limited to cloisonné if you want to approach your watch differently. You can fill the “well” of space however you prefer.

New! The Automatic Enamel Wells

The new Textured Enamel Wells are designed for artists who want to create unique cloisonné or enamel dials for our automatic watches. Each well features a special textured surface that adds depth and visual interest to your finished design. Unlike the previous kits, these wells are sold individually, giving you the freedom to experiment at your own pace, whether you’re testing ideas, refining your technique, or creating a finished dial ready for assembly. There is no inspection or sanding jig available for this size, so artists will need to carefully measure their finished dial to ensure it will fit the watch case. While these wells are intended for cloisonné, you are welcome to approach the space however you wish, filling it with your own creative vision.

ABOUT THE OPTIONAL JIG (quartz watches only)

In a nutshell, if the finished well doesn’t fit into the jig, it won’t fit into the watch case. The jig will help you achieve the correct diameter and thickness for your dial and also help you include time markers on your dial (if you want your watch to have them). We recommend you use it to remove the guesswork and ease the tedious measurement process in the development of your watch dial. It will also help you create a spectacular dial that meets the specifications needed for watchmaking. For example, when your counter enameled piece is placed in the jig, you will know immediately if your counter enamel thickness is correct and if you should add more counter enamel or sand some off. Using the jig, you will also discover if the center hole is large enough and/or if the circumference has changed from firing.

Jigs will be available for our automatic watch in 2026.

If you decided to send one or more dials to us to be made into watches, you can expect to receive your finished watch(es) in 2-3 weeks. The watch or watches you receive will be high quality and include the same two-year warranty that comes with every Celeste Watch.

HOW A WATCH WORKS

Watches are carefully engineered, and every case is built to fit a specific movement (the timekeeping mechanism) and dial. This means you can’t swap in a different movement or dial from another watch case and expect it to work correctly—everything needs to match exactly. Using a different size or style can affect the watch’s ability to keep time. Your finished art will need to be paired with the watch case it was designed for, since the case, dial, and movement all fit together in a very precise way.
