A honey bee's 🐝 beautiful little legs
I spent several hours yesterday cutting out little honey bee legs. Given that they are less than a quarter-inch in length and hard to handle, I use a laser cutter for greater precision. After the legs are cut and flattened, I clean them in an ultrasonic cleaner to remove any burn marks or soot caused by the high temperature cutting.

Nov 7, 2023 marked the end of another successful Make-Your-Own-Cloisonné-Watch-Dial class in Watsonville, CA with enamel artist Merry-Lee Rae, dial artist Rebecca Montgomery, and myself. Students came from as far as France and also from all over the United States. The learning curve was steep but we all came away better from the experience.

As we begin our 6th year on Main Street
As we begin our 6th year on Main Street (six is lucky, right?), we are fortunate to have released our first magazine, made incredible partnerships, received the trademark for "Celeste" on all jewelry in the US, and made it through Covid-19. We've developed new systems for watchmaking, invented our own custom tools to make us more efficient, and learned to work together as a team even better than before.
