Red Dragon - 42mm Swiss Automatic

In celebration of the Year of the Dragon, Celeste Watch Company is roaring into the new year with this breathtakingly intricate handcrafted dragon dial. This stunning limited edition inlay artwork is made up of 26 individually cut pieces of abalone shell, mother of pearl, wood and metal. Each piece is carefully hand placed on the dial in tribute to the auspicious dragon sign. Exotic, with zealous attention to detail, these works of art are in a class all their own.

Limited Edition of Five

This uncommon celebration timepiece is a 42mm stainless steel case with a mix of both brushed and high-polish finishes and a screw-down crown. The sapphire crystal case-back reveals a Swiss 26 jewel automatic-winding STP caliber 1-11 with a customized Celeste rotor inside.

Comes standard with a deployment clasp, travel case and certificate of authenticity.

Mechanical watches are also considered eco-friendly because they use a renewable energy source (the movement of your wrist) for power. They don’t require batteries but it’s a good idea to have the inside of the watch cleaned and relubricated every 5 years or so to keep it running smoothly.

In regards to sustainability, another advantage of purchasing a Swiss Celeste automatic is that not only are the dials handcrafted here but the watches are assembled and regulated here in Oregon too. Any needed servicing down the line will be done here. Compared to having an Omega, Rolex or other Swiss brand serviced, the process is greener because you don’t have to send your watch overseas (or wait 3-6 months for its return) which minimizes the carbon footprint of having your watch serviced.

AUTOMATIC WINDING SWISS STP CALIBER 1-11 MOVEMENT

Power Reserve
The STP Caliber uses a longer and thinner mainspring resulting in a boosted power reserve of 44 hours - almost two days.

Accuracy

STP1-11 has an accuracy of -3s to +7s/day, resulting in a maximum variation of 10 seconds/day. On the wrist this would result in an on wrist performance of +/- 2 to 4 seconds as per research done by WatchGuy (Read the review). 

Jewels

The STP1-11 features 26 jewels. This extra jewel is used to support the top of the barrel arbor. The barrel bridge can easily wear out so having a jewel here increases the longevity.
