I’ve learned that one of the best ways for me to know how my watches are doing out in the world is to offer you free battery replacements for the watches you buy from me. This way, I’m able to renew my connection with you every couple of years, whether you ship your watch to me or are able to come into the store. Either way, I’m able to see how your special timepieces are holding up. I like hearing your stories and the comments you receive about your watches.
So, yes! Every Celeste watch comes with lifetime batteries. That means that your battery will be changed by us at no cost (only the cost of shipping). You can mail your watch to our boutique or stop by to take advantage of this portion of your warranty. If neither of these options are convenient and you choose to have your battery replaced locally, it is important to have your watch serviced by a reputable jeweler to ensure the integrity of your beautiful Celeste watch.
Battery life: Our quartz watches are battery operated and the battery life is approximately 18 months from the time of assembly or last service. The battery life depends on several factors. For instance, our larger 38mm watches consume more energy than our smallest 30mm watches. If you wear your watch only occasionally, pulling the stem out during storage will extend the life of your battery up to 40 months. The downside of this practice is that if you forget to push the stem back in, your watch is no longer water resistant. In addition, you will need to set the time again. The better solution is to take advantage of the free lifetime battery portion of your warranty by either stopping by the Celeste Watch Company boutique or shipping your watch for service.
Battery end-of-life indicator: Your Celeste watch has a battery end-of-life (EOL) indicator, which signals that the battery should be replaced. When your battery begins to fade, the second hand does not move for four seconds then jumps to the correct time. The EOL indicator lasts for approximately one week, then the watch will stop.
